If you are looking for spectacular and unique, if you are adventurous and are looking to make memories and take pictures that will blow your mind, then the beaches of Chania are your go  to places. Balos Beach, renowned for its mesmerizing turquoise waters and white sand, is a picturesque lagoon accessible by boat from Kissamos or a hike from the parking area near the village of Kaliviani. Falassarna Beach, with its expansive golden sand and crystal-clear waters, is perfect for sunbathing and swimming. It’s easily reachable by car, located about 50 kilometers west of Chania town. Elafonissi Beach, famous for its pink-hued sand and shallow waters, provides a tranquil and exotic escape. It lies about 75 kilometers southwest of Chania and can be accessed by car or bus, with a scenic drive through the mountainous landscape.

Seitan Limania, a hidden gem with its strikingly blue waters and dramatic rocky surroundings, is ideal for adventurous travelers. Located about 20 kilometers northeast of Chania, it requires a steep hike down from the parking area. Marathi Beach, known for its calm, clear waters and family-friendly yet cosmopolitan atmosphere, is just a short 17-kilometer drive east of Chania. These beaches, among others like Kalathas, Chryssi Akti, Nea Chora, Stavros, make Chania a premier destination for beach lovers, offering a variety of breathtaking coastal experiences that are easily accessible for day trips and excursions.
